The Deadbeats are back releasing material at their new home, Wax On Records after nearly a decade hiatus since their last full length release “Lounging”. Damian Stanley and Ged Day have been busy, traveling, working in television and the online music industry. Now, we find the two joining forces once again with Emma Hyde to create more downbeat vibes for their upcoming release, “Made in the Shade”, due out later this year. Slackline Radio caught up with the two to ask questions about their past, present, and future, and what may be for dinner. Read more »

Red….... ‘Fingerprints’
His debut album ‘Fingerprints’ released through Dealmaker Records…
Red takes the noble art of turntablism to new heights…tracks such as Simmer are great examples scratch music’s most recent innovative exponent – indeed nearly half of the tracks on the album are made entirely from scratching. From the drums to the melodies, each track is produced purely from turntable manipulation
Definately one to look out for Red can also be seen rocking UK underground stages with his band, Full Fat where he uses his turntable as the lead instrument amongst guitars, synths and live drums. expect amazing musicianship, wicked tunes and of course, sick turntablism.
Look out for his collaboration with one of the guys from ‘Kids in Tracksuits’ working under the name of ‘Lone’’.....

People Under The Stairs are without a doubt one of the BEST underground hip-hop acts around. The lyrics are conscious and meaningful – far from gangsta bling bling with beats that are catchy, mellow, and jazzy.
From L.A. There first release was on there own label PUTS Records back in 1998 and since then they have gone from strength to strength….
