Of all Domu albums, Discotech feels most harmonius, the general mood of the music blends well from one track into another. I couldn’t repeat this for the Return of the Rogue album, which has good tracks, but felt more like a collection of rather unrelated tracks.

So here is One Eye Open, the second 12-inch from One-Handed Music. There is not a single track to dislike, and it’s quite versatile as well. The title track has vocal elements reminding of the Flying Lotus, while the second track is more like Dabrye’s instrumental work. But enough comparisons, Paul White skilfully combines vintage synths with crisp beats and many layers of atmospheric, spaced-out samples. As a bonus, you get a remix from his label mate Bullion.
